Fire Island is car-free, so your journey starts with the Sayville Ferry. Park your car (or take the LIRR to Sayville), hop the shuttle, and enjoy the 20-minute ride across the Great South Bay. Once you hit the dock at Cherry Grove, follow the boards—we'll handle the heavy lifting from there.

What is there to do (besides tan)?

When you aren’t tucked under a Shady Beaches cabana, explore the "Sunken Forest," grab a cocktail at any of our great bars, or catch a world-class drag show. At night, the boards come alive with dining and dancing, but the real magic is the sunset over the bay.

Pack light! Bring your swimsuit, sunscreen, and good energy. Since there are no cars, you'll be walking everywhere. We provide the shade and the seating so you don't have to drag a heavy umbrella across the sand.
